Sigma brushes and other random stuff

I recieved my sigma brushes today in the mail. The shipping was really fast. I purchased these during the black friday sales, it was shipped on the 30th of November so it took only 8 business days. I am very impressed.

The brushes are amazing and super soft. I ordered the professional complete kit and also the kabuki brush that came with a bonus powder brush and makeup bag (this was only $29). The packaging that both of these brushes came in are so cute.

They will also have a sale on the 13th of Decemeber to make up for the Cyber Monday sale. I really want to know what the specials will be on that day too. For those who missed out during Black Friday you can always check out the deals then www.sigmabeauty.com

Other things I received are my Cherry Culture order. Also very impressed with the shipping time. Shipped on the 27th and received it on the 1st of December. I ordered some NYX products with their 20% off special. I think the sale is still on but you need to spend over $100 where as during the black friday sale there was no minimum purchase. I read really good reviews on the NYX products so decided to try them out.

These are just some of the things I ordered. I also did get a damaged palette :( they said they will give me a store credit if I send them a photo so I will see how that goes.

I bought some of the single eyeshadows, I decided to choose some of the colours that were recommended on Makeupgeek. I find the tutorials there very helpful too. The palettes were only $8 USD and the there was the 20% discount. The single eyeshadows I think were about $3USD and the eyebase was $6USD. The prices are very affordable. For those looking to purchase them in store they do sell them at GROOVE. I saw the palettes for $14.95 and I think the single eyeshadows were around $7. I can't remember now.

JAZZ NIGHTS (runway collection)

SMOKEY EYES

CHAMPAGNE AND CAVIAR (runway collection)

VELVET ROPE (Runway collection)

I also decided to order the Urban Decay Naked palette at beautybay.com. This palette is really hard to find and the prices on ebay are ridiculous. They had some in stock here so I purchased it but it looks like they have sold out now. I am sure they will be back in stock soon though.

Passion

I had a bit of time so I decided to paint my nails with OPI passion and use some of the nail jewels I bought at Daiso whilst I was overseas. They actually sell these at the Melbourne Daiso shop but I find it a little expensive for 2.80.
Anyway here are the results:

I really like OPI nail polish. This is the first time I tried it and I think I will order some through transdesign.com. So many colours to choose from though so I am not too sure which colours to get.

Black Friday Sales :)

Thank goodness for online shopping. There are alot of deals at the moment because of Black Friday although we don't have it here in Australia we can still get amazing deals via online!

I was actually tempted to order through Forever 21 as they have buy 1 get 1 free on sale items only shipped within US but by the time I use a mail forwarding service it wasn't really worthwhile so I decided not to buy anything.

A few black Friday deals:

Sigma beauty has free worldwide shipping with code BF2010. I have been lemming the brushes for a while so I ordered some today :)

Cherry culture have 20% off with code TG20. From 24th-28th. Great for stocking up on NYX products. I made an order a week ago but luckily I still saved 20% then.

Outnet have free worldwide shipping until midnight 28th.

Other sales are listed here:

http://www.temptalia.com/beauty-black-friday-cyber-monday-sales

http://www.nevershoppedout.com/2010/11/black-friday-round-up/

I was hoping places like urban outfitters would have something special but its only free shipping within US so I guess no specials for international customers :(

Accessories

Well I thought I will post up a few things I bought recently which were a bargain. I love finding things which are affordable.

I never really shopped around Highpoint shopping centre before so when I was there yesterday I walked around the whole centre. I also discovered Feeling Fruity! I really like their smoothies and there used to be Feeling Fruity at Chadstone and The Glen too a long time ago so I was really happy when there was one at Highpoint. I also found out on their card that they have one in the QV and Doncaster too. Their strawberry lush is delicious :)

Anyway in the centre, I found this accessories shop called Six. I have never heard of this store before but it is located near Target. They have heaps of rings, necklaces and earrings. There was a rack of $2 and $3 accessories. I bought 2 rings and an earring as a Christmas present.

I also bought these headbands at Sportsgirl for 95cents each. At the moment there are alot of headbands and other accessories on sale at Sportsgirl so check out your local store if you're wanting to add some accessories to your outfit.

Previously I had bought the animal print headband in another colour when they had their 20% sale which was $3.95 and these heart print stockings were $7.95.

Online shopping madness

It doesn't help that I am subscribed to all these online stores and receive emails with codes and discounts. I think I must stop checking my emails.. but then there is the vogue forums with all the sales listed. I don't know what to do but I am addicted to online shopping.

ASOS had their free delivery to Australia for today only so I decided to have a look and see if there is anything and well I couldn't resist and bought :

Maxi Skirt

Blush Clogs

I am thinking now that these shoes are going to be a bit too big.

Then I moved onto Urban Outfitters and bought a few things and at the same time was able to buy some Christmas presents too. I can't believe its that time of the year again for Christmas shopping. I bought my sister in law the Babuschka measuring cups. I really wanted one for myself too but I decided not to order one for me.

I used a 10% coupon code too: GIFTED

I am not sure when it will expire though

I really like these measuring cups (although I don't cook that often). I saw these at Angus and Robertson bookstore in the window display and they are just so cute.

I also bought this owl catch all. It's so cute (might put keys in it) and at the moment I am liking owl things like the necklace I bought from forever21.

I also bought some shoes and a pair of printed scalloped shorts. The scalloped shorts were only about $11 after the discount at UO.
I am still looking for a nice blush coloured one like these ones from queenswardrobe.

Now I just have to wait for the parcels to come hopefully it won't take too long.

A bit of shopping here and there

Lately I have been completely lazy that all I have been doing is online shopping from the computer instead of going to the shops. The Aussie dollar hit parity against the US yesterday and I am taking advantage of that by buying things online :)

I made an order today with Forever21. I love their sales section and there are lots of bargains there and very affordable too. They also have a daily special section where selected items are reduced by 20%. After the $35 international shipping and maxing out their 20 item limit, each item I purchased ended up costing approximately $10.

There is also a thread in the vogue forum for those who only want to purchase a few things and split the costs with other voguettes.

I made an order previously with Forever21 and these are some of the things I picked up :

This owl necklace is my favourite thing I purchased. It was $5.80USD.

A few headbands:

I love bows at the moment (just ordered a bow necklace from F21 too) and this long sleeve cardigan is cute. Its lightweight and perfect for the Spring weather. I also bought this striped 3/4 length top.

I am sure alot of people are taking advantage of the AUS/US dollar. Has anyone found any bargains?

DAISO MELBOURNE $2.80

I love the 100 yen shops in Japan and when I found out Melbourne was opening its first Daiso store I had to go and check it out. Everything in the store is $2.80. They stock things that you would find at any Daiso store around the world. Things such as stationery, storage solutions, cups/plates, make up, tools etc. If you're after food they don't really stock much except for one wall which is full of lollies. The store itself is a little small and the aisles are a bit narrow especially with mums and their prams. Anyway for those who are on a budget Daiso has a lot of things for the house or for personal and at just $2.80 you can't really go wrong. Great place for Christmas presents too.
The store is located at Shop 23/313 Victoria St, Abbortsford.

Here are some things I picked up (a bit boring but mostly storage things):

When I get the chance I will drop by again when things have settled. I found it hard to shop when there were heaps of people in there with limited space.

A bit of travelling

I haven't had the chance to update my blog as I have been really busy. I will post a few things up soon on purchases from forever21 (yay with the strong aussie dollar) and some bargains I found a few weeks ago.

I went on a bit of a holiday last month and travelled to both Vietnam and Singapore. I really enjoyed both countries and I am looking forward to some more travels sometime soon. I really want to travel around the world now.

The traffic in Vietnam is totally insane. Heaps of motorbikes everywhere and alot of people beeping. All you can hear is the motorbikes and cars beeping. Surprisingly I did not see any accidents but crossing the road is a challenge.

The markets are great for shopping however the things in Ben Thanh market are fixed (I am not sure if its certain sections). I ended up getting a dress and some Vietnamese traditional dresses. I have no clue when I will wear the Vietnamese dresses and probably will never wear them but they are really pretty. I recommend the night markets outside the Ben Thanh market as you can haggle the prices. It was actually fun seeing my friend haggle the prices down. Whatever happens if you're a tourist they definitely try to get as much money from you as possible even if its a bargain.

Overall Vietnam was a great holiday. I had heard many stories about getting sick and other bad things about Vietnam but really it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

Singapore was a different experience compared to Vietnam. The one place I had to go was to Orchard Rd where all the shops are. There were a lot of designer shops. Every block I remember seeing another Louis Vuitton store or another designer shop. I found a lot of the shopping here very expensive. I even remember going to Wisma Atera where they had this shoe sale. They had brands such as Ninewest, Steve Madden and the prices were so much cheaper here in Australia. I didn't buy anything in Orchard but I actually found Vivo City a great shopping complex with shops such as Forever21 and Topshop. There is also a store in Vivo City that sells magazines and books and I bought ViVi Magazine there. It was much cheaper than Kinokuniya in Takashiyama. If you get a chance to go to Sentosa where are the adventure parks are then you'll definitely go through Vivo City shopping centre.

Well I will post some more things soon :)

Rimmel Lasting Finish and Maybelline Mini Colorama

For those who have seen the thread over at Vogue, Kmart currently have a promotion where they have $4 off both Rimmel and Maybelline products. This sale ends this Wednesday. So the Rimmel Lasting finish was $1.75 each and the Maybelline Mini Colorama were a $1 each. I might try another Kmart store to see what they have left.

Anyway this is what I picked up:

Witchery Ticket to Board

I have been shopping at Witchery hoping that my boarding pass would be worth like $1000. So far no luck. Both have been worth $20. I have used up 2 of my passes already one during the current promotion of double the boarding pass amount if you spend $80. Unfortunately I don't have time to head into a Witchery store today before the promotion ends. The boarding pass thing gets quite addictive though, I keep going back into the store hoping that I will be one of those lucky people who score the $1000 pass. I have 2 more passes left, they were also giving them out at the Witchery stores too. Maybe I will make another trip soon...

This is what I ended up purchasing:
For the first ticket this sequin dress for $20 after the $20 off

With my second ticket I bought this wallet from 89.95 to 49.95. I needed another wallet for travel so I don't lose my everyday one.

Bargain for the week

Not from Witchery but my bargain for the week was this hat for only 4.95 from Sportsgirl

Florals and animal print

I can't wait until Spring. Not long now.
Well I purchased a few things last week at DFO Moorabbin. I wasn't really looking for anything in particular but came home with a few things.
I am somewhat drawn to animal printed items and will be wearing them this Spring.
I bought these 2 skirts for only $2 each at Cotton on. This was my bargain for the day.

I also purchased a silk top and skirt from Portmans (the silk top is really gorgeous on):

Hopefully sometime down the track as the weather gets better, I will also start posting up some outfits too.

What I got in the mail today

I was feeling a little anxious about my topshop order given that it usually doesn't take long to get to me.

Today I was excited to find my topshop order and my inuovi order from stefan hair had arrived :).

I have been really addicted to the inuovi thread over at the vogue forum and went a little bit crazy with the ordering. I placed one last order today with the blushes that I liked so hopefully no more after this... unless they update the site with some more things. I think they are flat out with the voguettes ordering. I did end up getting replacements for some items that were probably sold out. For a $1 its a bargain so I am not complaining.

Well my topshop order consisted of the Seanna clogs which were 35 pounds.. they were later reduced to 20 pounds but they didn't have my size anyway so I don't feel sad about the price difference. The clogs are sooo comfortable. Definitely great for spring/summer :)

I also ordered these 2 tone tights. They have hearts on one side and the other side is pink.

My final thing I ordered was this basic top with lace detail on the side of the sleeves. I ordered one in navy previously and liked it so much when it was on sale I purchased the black one.

My inuovi order was blushes and eyeshadow. I really wanted the brushes but I couldn't amend my order at the time. Here is what I got (I did have a few more things in here but gave them away) :
Very happy with my purchases :)
Please excuse the photos... still looking for a new camera.

Goodbye Camera :(

I was sad to find out last week that my camera decided to die on me. I have had it for only about 2 years and then I started to think that technology these days are designed to not last that long or are made to malfunction after the warranty period or even after the extended warranty. So now its time for me to search for another digital camera. I am leaning towards a Panasonic Lumix but all this time I have owned a Canon camera so I am not too sure if I can adjust to a different camera. I didn't realise how much I would miss my camera until I couldn't take photos for a birthday dinner :(.

On a much brighter note, I received my Topshop order :) I am super happy about that and now all I am waiting for is my Asos order.

Here are some things I managed to pick up:

the accessories were 3 pounds and tights were 7 pounds

this top was 7 pounds

kate moss for topshop dress was 70 pounds down to 20 pounds, the lace detail is really gorgeous

topshop crossbody bag in tan (colour is actually a bit darker in real life) 28 pounds.

and finally I won these two tone tights on ebay for about $3.70 AUD. I really wanted to bid on another pair of topshop two tone tights on ebay but I was unlucky last minute so hopefully another one will pop up on ebay soon.
