Coastal Scents Palettes

I purchased these Coastal Scents palettes a while back when they were on sale. I purchased the 88 Original, Warm and Ultra Shimmer palettes. These do go on sale alot so its just a matter of keeping an eye when they do go on special. On special they can be around $11 USD. They do have times when they have 50% off too like they did during the Black Friday Sale. They also post worldwide too. Having to cut back on everything this year I found the warm palette's shade nice and an alternative to the Urban Decay Naked Palette. I haven't had the chance to try out all the colours but so far I am very impressed. Here are the colours for those who have yet to try these out.

Bye Australia, Hello Canada 2013

Starting the year in another country bye Australia and hello Canada. This year I will be blogging more about ways to save money on a budget. I love finding bargains and things that are on sale. I only wished I put a little more effort in 2012 but I had a lot going on last year so its nice to start the year like this.

A little bit about Canada, well the weather over here is nothing like Australia, I am missing out on the lovely nice Summer :( I've been told how nice it has been over there but at least I get to see snow yaayy! I was really excited to go outside and see snow. I have yet to build a snowman but I will :D.  I've found out a few things whilst coming to Canada that finding work is extremely hard, I've been trying so hard to find work and its been really tough. Also finding cheap car insurance is very impossible especially if I'm from Australia grrr. It's compulsory to have car insurance here so you can only imagine how insurance places try to take advantage of the fact you have to buy insurance. The most expensive I've been quoted is $8000. Insane. I figured I really need a vehicle to commute to places and find work as the transport system is quite different to Australia as I was able to easily get to the city by a train. Anyway here is the snow in Canada, and I will be back to blogging bargains real soon.

Karmaloop 50% off Ladies Sale

I recently placed an order through Karmaloop.com as they were doing a further 50% off sale on their reduced items for ladies. I have ordered from Karmaloop before and their shipping is always quite fast. They shipped it out on Wednesday and I received my parcel on Sunday. My mum must have gotten a huge shock though coz the box that my order came in was massive. It was like one of those moving boxes lolz.

I was able to pick up some bargains though. Here are some of the things I bought:

I travel alot so the neck rest and the travel pack were perfect. The travel kit comes with a blanket, eyemask and pillow. After the 50% off they were around US $7. I love hello kitty.

Boutique 9 Alesandra shoe. I love these. They are colourblock and the nude color is just very versatile. The are quite high but they are super comfy. After the 50% off they were $27.50.

These disney couture jewelery they were $6-7 dollars each. I bought 2 earrings and a ring.

Van boots which were around $14.

And these Melissa shoes which were around $43.

I love online shopping as I get so much more value for the items where as if I bought these here in Australia I would have definitely paid more. Hopefully others were able to pick up some bargains on Karmaloop :)

Asos 20% off

Not long ago it was 10% off but now Asos has 20% off final clearance items. Code: EXTRA20.
Although I bought items during the 10% off, I decided to have another look and see if there was anything else that was nice. I find that alot of the things I do like are not available in my size so I guess that helps me save some $$. I am looking forward to Spring and we have been getting awesome spring like weather here! I picked up a few things:

The floppy hat for 6 pounds and the jersey pleat trousers. I recently bought the jersey pleat trousers in the pink for 7 pounds but thought with the 20% off I'll also buy the black version since they were 10 pounds. The blue coloured ones look tempting too... I seem to always check back on asos to see if there is anything else added to the final clearance section. Time to really start saving though and less time on Asos.

Daiso Doncaster

I didn't even realise there was a Daiso store in Doncaster until my mum told me about it the other day. I have only been to the one located in Abbotsford (Richmond) which I have blogged about before. Everything in the store is $2.80. A great place to find gifts. I rarely go to Westfield Doncaster so finding this store was very tricky. Daiso is located near the escalators on the ground floor and it's also near Coles.

This store is a bit more spacious then the Abbotsford store. They also had ample stock and a huge variety of items (probably more then Abbotsford). I didn't really see any empty shelves. Maybe this is because the store has been open for a while now. I remember trekking to Richmond and their shelves being empty the first couple of times I went when they first opened. The other good thing is they accept card payments as long as you spend over $15. I am not sure if they have changed this at the Abbotsford store but I remember they only accepted cash. So being able to pay through eftpos was very convenient.

I am always drawn to storage type items so I bought a few things that could help with storing my nail polishes and sigma brushes. This is what I ended up buying:

This is their details:

Shop G216
Westfield Shopping
619 Doncaster Rd
Doncaster

9848-1333

If you are in the area, Daiso is definitely a shop you should visit.

I love colour block shoes

I really really love colour block shoes. Ever since I have been eyeing the Zara tricolour elastic sandals. They are on sale for 19.95. If only I was living in US!! I was thinking the same thing when I was viewing the Nine West sale page a few weeks back. Everything in Australia is so overpriced too. We have a Zara store here in Melbourne but I can only imagine the price tag for these shoes. Not too sure if they have them because I don't really travel to the city.

I might have to turn to one of the mail forwarding services but because these are on sale I am not too sure if they have them in stock in my size.

As an alternative, I have seen some of tony bianco's gorgeous colour block shoes the price ranges from 170-180 though :(

Tony Bianco's Pacific

I love seeing gorgeous colours mixed together. Colour block shoes are definitely something I want to add to my spring wardrobe.

Asos 10% code

Wow this is my first blog entry for 2011. Anyways I love sales and bargains so I had to post the current ASOS code which is extraten on sale items. I'm not too sure when this promo expires but I purchased this cute leather bag. It was such a bargain, from 45 pounds came down to 13.50 pounds after the discount. With free postage world wide I couldn't resist.

The link is here for those who are interested:

The colour is red. There is also a white version which is actually a little bit cheaper too.

Hopefully everyone else has picked up some nice bargains :)
